Homophobic Bullying: Two Sides

There’s a reason why young people like Michael Causer are still murdered for being gay. It’s because as Anderson Cooper rightly points out in the first video, the moment that the ‘n’ word gets used, students are immediately disciplined or kicked out of school, yet the moment ‘gay’ or ‘queer’ is used pejoratively, what exactly happens? Where do the attitudes end up changing? A snapshot of young people’s experience of bullying can be read here. Teachers in the UK are aware of the extent of homophobic bullying, and it must be stopped here, in the US, everywhere.
