An 'immoral minority'? My sexual orientation is none of your business thanks. The minority is not pushing society to like their sexual behaviour - the minority is pushing society to accept that they are equal before the law.

I wonder if you'll have the courage of your beliefs to reply to my reply, Guy. My sexual behaviour doesn't affect you in any way, nor does my marriage to my male partner. Where that leaves your argument I'm not sure.

It amazes me how such an immoral minority can push such an obviously unacceptable sexual practice on a society until that minority actually believes their own rhetoric and can almost convince the majority (mostly because the majority is apathetic, not accepting) that the minority is right. Now that the majority has said no to the behavior the minority reacts like most do, they cry and scream and make a lot of noise.

Actually one of the articles I referenced acknowledged that all Mormons didn't advocate Prop 8, and not all have issues with homosexuality and gay people. It would be a huge mistake for me or the protest movements which are growing exponentially to believe that.

But it's a straw man argument to say you're allowed to have different unions, which we don't have to have but you do and try to claim there's no issue here. There clearly is - it's called equality before the law. As Keith Olbermann says - if two men get married in California it doesn't affect anyone - you, if you're a Mormon, or a Born Again or a Muslim.

It's unfortunate that gay marriage supporters are concluding that Mormons advocate prop 8 because they hate gays and wish to deny them rights.

This is not the case. In fact, church leaders have officially stated they do not oppose civil unions or domestic partnerships. There is even a movement in Utah to bring about gay rights with the help of the LDS community.
